Where to start…?
Hi there,
If this is your first time here…or your 2nd…or your 50th….there is a lot of information happening on this site and it can be very hard to know where to start.
So here are my suggestions:
Firstly, sign up for my free book on the right of this page. I wrote this book about some of the most common and misguided things that people do after a death that ensure they forget the person they love who has died….and what to do instead. This will also add you to my mailing list where you’ll receive regular emails and blogs from me.
Next, if you have had a death in your life recently, are struggling, and need a little bit of help and support right now…then I have designed this gentle little course just for you.
Then, here are some of the most relevant and popular blogs to get you started…
- A new grief model: 5 steps to healing from grief
- How should you be feeling when someone close to you has died?
- Why not everyone will be there for you or “now I know who my REAL friends are”
- The absolute basics of looking after yourself after a death in your life
- Asking for help
- Crying your guts out in public – the importance of letting your emotion out
- Why GRIEF counselling and even most GRIEF coaching doesn’t work
- Why life is like literature – beautiful, no matter the length
- ‘I wish they hadn’t suffered’ – the point of their pain
- What is it like to watch someone die?
- Why joining a bereavement support group can be your worst idea
- ‘Can I really get over my GRIEF’
- Positive thinking and how it messes with GRIEF
- The 5 stages of grief model
- Finding life in death – searching for the gifts in your loss
- Having an attitude of gratitude around death
- GRIEF is love not wanted to let go – one of the most damaging (and untrue) beliefs you can hold
- Creating a legacy worthy of them
And then, here is an audio from a speech I did at the Joy of Death festival, introducing a new, inspiring, and healthy way to start to see a death in your life:

And a speech I did for the Good Funeral Awards talking about the one thing that determines whether you will heal from your pain or be stuck in it for good:

So much love,
