Listen to my talk from the Good Funeral Awards: “Your grief beliefs – freeing you from the myths that will keep you stuck in pain”
Last weekend I attended the Good Funeral Awards. What a weekend that was!!! It brought together some of the best, brightest (and most fun) people in the UK and Death industry in this country and it was awesome to be there.
As with last year I came away inspired, excited, grateful for new friends, refreshed from spending time with some of my fave people, and filled with new thoughts and ideas.
I was asked again this year to give a talk and I chose to talk about: Redefining grief: Your grief beliefs – freeing you from the myths that will keep you stuck in pain
…and if you’d like to listen to it you’ll find the audio here: Redefining grief: Your grief beliefs – freeing you from the myths that will keep you stuck in pain
(note: references to ‘psychedelics’ were because of the talk the same day on the topic…in case you were wondering what the heck I was on about.)
Last year (when the weekend was called ‘The Joy of Death Festival’) my talk was: “Finding beauty and meaning in any death, Why we don’t, why we should, and how to do it”. If you’d like to listen to that you’ll find it here: Joy of Death speech – Kristie West

I have one thought to contribute to the Joy of Death:
“This is not the main event.” There are karmic overtures.
Where did we come from? Where are we going?
(What if Earth is only one stop?)
Einstein: “We must remember earth is only a star…and there
are other stars where life is much happier…(more joyful–!).”
