Want to hear my crazy-incredible BIG (and getting bigger by the week) news?!
Sooooo….a few people have noticed my strange absence over the past couple of months, both from social media and from regular blogging.
Well…here is the reason why!
Nope, this cute little pooh bear outfit that a friend gave me is not actually for me to wear. (I tried…wouldn’t fit).
It’s for the teensy, currently apple-sized, creature growing like crazy in my belly.
That’s right…I’m having a baby!
15 weeks along now and the last couple of months have been crazy, amazing, scary as hell, wonderful, stressful….and freakin tiring. Holy moly the fatigue has been incredible! And the ‘baby brain’ – thank god for understanding clients who have forgiven the few brain-to-calendar hiccups.
So what does a G.R.I.E.F. Specialist do when she gets pregnant?
Well she thinks about death even more. Which means thinking about life even more.
Being pregnant makes me think more about death in terms of pregnancy – why we often do the whole don’t-tell-anyone-in-the-first-trimester thing and what that’s really about, what miscarriage really is to us, and why we use the language we do around the death of unborn babies-in-the-making. So there are a few things I’m inspired to write about….which I can start to now that I have the energy to do more than just eat and shower!
It also means there will be some changes coming in my work….so watch this space, I’ll be updating you with my plans and some great opportunities for you later this week.
It’s taken me a while as I hadn’t yet announced it publicly, but I’m so glad to finally have shared this with you!
Much love to you,
from Kristie and mini-me-to-be

Fantastic news! How exciting! Look after yourself and eat chocolate, which, I believe, is the answer to baby brain!
Aha I knew there had to be a good excuse in there somewhere for more chocolate. Thanks Fi!
