What can I do when no-one wants to talk about the person who died?
Hi there,
I had another great question come my way.
The email read “My question is about how to grieve. Because I feel silenced by friends and family. NO one wants to talk about it. No one wants to hear about it. And when I do speak I’m either met with uncomfortable silence or an awkward phrase such as “I’m sorry.” Which is not what I want. I just want to work through my feelings and sometimes honestly I just want to talk about her. I have tried counseling but it’s awkward for me. So I feel as if I’m just a tomb inside myself with so much feeling and I can’t express it. I have to go one with family and friends as if I am not at a huge loss. Can you speak to this and how to deal with it?”
Here is my answer below. I hope you find it helpful.
Much love,
Kristie
